A Toronto original
Founded by the late Allen Mills, Factory Tire grew from a family gas station into a name synonymous with tires across Ontario.
Late 1950s — origins
Corner of Dufferin & Wilson
Allen Mills started in the tire business at the corner of Dufferin Street and Wilson Avenue. As a teenager he ran Factory Tire from his father’s gas station, earning a reputation as one of Toronto’s most experienced and customer-focused tire specialists.
Growth — Chesswood
A name that travelled
Word spread quickly. Allen moved to his own location on Chesswood Drive, where Factory Tire became known province-wide for straight answers, strong value, and staff who treated drivers like neighbours—not numbers.
Today — Rexdale / Etobicoke
1402 Martingrove Road
With the business bursting at the seams, Allen settled Factory Tire into a 30,000 sq ft building at 1402 Martingrove Road—still home to the showroom, service bays, and the same family spirit customers have counted on for generations.
Leadership & legacy
Toronto lost Mr. Allen Mills on August 24, 2010. His wife, Mrs. Myra Mills, President of Factory Tire, continues his legacy: competitive prices, quality products, and the friendly, open-door culture Allen insisted on—whether you are a first-time visitor or a long-time regular.
Today, Factory Tire remains a full-service tire center at 1402 Martingrove Road, Etobicoke, ON—with four active service bays, a comfortable lounge, and the same promise: service you can count on from people who care.
